Zoanette Johnson (born December 6th, 1992) was a contestant on Season 12 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Zoanette auditioned in Oklahoma City. She sang the American National Anthem. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Zoanette was shown in a group called "The Pooh-Snaps" along with Erin Christine, Lauren Bettes and Isabelle singing "Knock on Wood" by Eddie Floyd. Everyone in the group except Lauren advanced. For her final solo performance, Zoanette sang an original song about the American Idol judges while accompanied on the drums. Afterwards, it was revealed that she advanced along with Candice Glover, Janelle Arthur, Jett Hermano and Angela Miller. Eventually, she did enough to make the Top 20 Girls.

Top 40[]

Zoanette was shown in Female Group 2 and sang "Circle of Life" by Elton John. Afterwards, the judges told her she did enough to make the semifinals.

Top 20[]

Zoanette sang "What's Love Got to Do With it?" by Tina Turner. She did not manage to place among the five highest voted female contestants, eliminating her from the competition.
