Vonzell Monique Goethie, known professionally as Vonzell Solomon (born March 18th, 1984) was a contestant on Season 4 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Vonzell auditioned in Orlando. She sang "Chain of Fools" by Aretha Franklin. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Vonzell was shown in the first part of Hollywood Round where she was shown in the same group of ten as Melissa Figueroa and Regina Brooks. After her performance, the judges told her she did enough to advance. She was shown in the group round with Carrie Underwood & Lakeisha Taylor she did enough to advance. On the final part of Hollywood Week, she sang "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin. She did enough to progress, along with Jamar Jefferson, Mario Vazquez, Matthew Kester, Carrie Underwood, Constantine Maroulis, Judd Harris, David Brown, Anwar Robinson and Janay Castine. During the judges' final deliberation, it was revealed that she made the Top 24.

Vonzell sang "(Love is Like a) Heat Wave" by Martha and the Vandellas. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.
