Vincent Powell (born August 12th, 1983) was a contestant on Season 12 of American Idol.
Season 11 Audition[]
Vincent's audition was not televised.
Season 11 Hollywood Round[]
Vincent's stay in Hollywood was not shown, but he mentioned during his Season 12 audition that he was eliminated on the final day of Hollywood Week.
Season 12 Audition[]
Vincent auditioned in San Antonio. He sang "Rock Me Baby" by B.B. King. All four judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Season 12 Hollywood Round[]
Vincent was shown in a group called "The Four Tones" with Micah Johnson, Marvin Calderon and David Willis singing "Hold On, I'm Comin'" by Sam & Dave. Everyone in the group advanced. After his untelevised final solo performance, it was revealed that he advanced along with Jimmy Smith, Johnny Keyser and Nate Tao. Eventually, he did enough to make the Top 20 Guys.
Top 40[]
Vincent appeared in Male Group 2 and sang "Cause I Love You" by Lenny Williams. Afterwards, the judges told him he did enough to become a semifinalist.
Top 20[]
Vincent sang "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. He did not manage to place among the five highest voted male contestants, eliminating him from the competition.
