Audition[]
Taylor auditioned in Salt Lake City. She sang "Joyful, Joyful" by Casting Crowns. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Taylor was shown in the second part of Hollywood Week in a group with Danny Gokey, Moorea Masa and Jamar Rogers singing "Somebody to Love" by Queen a capella. Everyone in her group advanced. She managed to make it to the final day of Hollywood where she sang "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. At the judges' mansion, it was revealed that she did enough to make the Top 36.
