Jason "Sundance" Head (born July 9th, 1978) was a contestant on Season 6 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Sundance auditioned in Memphis. He sang "Call it Stormy Monday (But Tuesday is Just as Bad)" by T-Bone Walker. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Sundance was shown in a montage of successful contestants from the first day of Hollywood Week, in the same group as Sean Michel. Later, through a flashback, it was revealed he sang "A House is Not a Home" by Dionne Warwick. He was later shown in a group with L'Paige Bedford and Robyn Troup. He was the only member of his group to advance. He survived the cut that followed immediately afterwards, making it to the judges' final forty. He was called up alongside Thomas Daniels to see who had taken the final slot for the Top 12 guys. The judges revealed to him that he did enough to make the Top 24.

Top 24[]

Sundance sang "Nights in White Satin" by The Moody Blues. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Top 20[]

Sundance sang "Mustang Sally" by Wilson Pickett. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Top 16[]

Sundance sang "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam. He was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week, eliminating him from the competition.

After the Show[]

Sundance auditioned for Season 11 of The Voice and was a part of Blake Shelton's team. He ended up winning the whole thing.
