William "Smokey" Robinson, Jr. (born February 19th, 1940) is an American singer, record producer and former record executive.
Smokey served as a guest judge for the Top 7 Week of Season 2, a mentor for the Top 10 week of Season 8 and a mentor again for the Top 8 Week of Season 12 of American Idol. He served as a guest performer for the Top 20 performance telecast.
