Savion Wright was a contestant on Season 13 and Season 14 of American Idol.

Season 13 Audition[]

Savion auditioned in Austin. He sang an original song called "Dark Side of Me". All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Season 13 Hollywood Round[]

Savion was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week, in the same Group of Ten as Malaya Watson and Jena Asciutto. He sang an original song dedicated to his late brother. He advanced and was shown in a group with Ryan Clark, John Fox and Madelyn Patterson singing "Royals" by Lorde. Everyone in the group except John advanced. For his final solo performance, he sang an original song. At the Final Judgment, the judges told him he did not become a Top 30 finalist.

Season 14 Audition[]

Savion auditioned in Nashville. He sang "Change the World" by Eric Clapton. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Season 14 Hollywood Round[]

Savion was called up by the judges immediately before Hollywood Round could officially begin. He sang "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk, ft. Pharrell. He was later shown in a group called "L.K.Y.C.O." (or "Ladies Keep Your Clothes On (Please)") alongside Daniel Seavey, Trevor Douglas and Qaasim Middleton. They sang "Story of My Life" by One Direction. For his final solo performance, he sang "I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You)" by John Mayer. At the Final Judgment, the judges told him he did enough to become a Top 24 semifinalist.

  • Savion was diagnosed with ADHD early in his childhood.
  • He later appeared on the twenty-third season of The Voice under the stage name NOIVAS, which is Savion spelled backwards. He finished in fifth place.
