Sarah auditioned in Washington, D.C. She sang "Rescue Me" by Fontella Bass. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Sarah was shown in the first televised Group of Ten with Carrie Underwood, Jaclyn Crum and Tamesha Foote. The judges told her afterwards that she did enough to advance. The rest of her time in Hollywood was not shown much, but during the judges' final deliberation, it was revealed that she did enough to make the Top 24.

Sarah sang "Get Ready" by The Temptations. She received the second-lowest number of votes, eliminating her from the competition.
