Rudolpho "Rudy" Cardenas (born April 3rd, 1978) was a contestant on Season 6 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Rudy auditioned in Seattle. He sang "Open Arms" by Journey. Although Simon voted "no", Randy and Paula voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Rudy was shown in a group with Blake Lewis, Chris Sligh and Thomas Lowe, singing "How Deep is Your Love" by The Bee Gees. He eventually made the final forty and during the final day of Hollywood Week, he sang "Georgia on My Mind" by Ray Charles. After that, the judges told him that he made it to the Top 24.

Rudy sang "Free Ride" by Edgar Winter Group. He was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week, eliminating him from the competition.
