Joel Philip "Phil" Stacey (born January 21st, 1978) was a contestant on Season 6 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Phil auditioned in Memphis. He sang "My Girl" by The Temptations. Although Simon voted "no", Randy and Paula voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Phil was shown in a montage of successful contestants from the first day of Hollywood Week. He eventually made it to the judges' final forty. On the final day, he sang "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" by Bryan Adams. Afterwards, the judges informed him that he did enough to make the Top 24.

Phil sang "I Could Not Ask for Me" by Edwin McCain. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Phil sang "Missing You" by John Waite. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Phil sang "I Need You" by LeAnn Rimes. He received enough votes to make the Top 12.
