Paige Anne Stembridge (born September 19, 2006),[1] known professionally and personally as Paige Anne,[2] was a contestant on Season 21 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Paige auditioned in Las Vegas. She sang "What About Us?" by P!nk. Although Katy voted "no", Lionel and Luke voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Paige was shown in the first part of Hollywood Round, choosing to work on her Confidence. Although not originally televised, Paige was shown in a duet with Stefan Benz singing "You Are the Reason" by Calum Scott. Due to her having some ill feelings after her duet, Paige performed her final solo performance from her hotel room. She sang "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas & The Papas. Afterwards, the judges brought her and Megan Danielle up at the same time and could not decide their verdicts, requesting a sing-off. She sang "Easy on Me" by Adele. Afterwards, the judges told her that she was eliminated.

After Beckett Rex, the son of actor Malcolm McDowell, withdrew from the competition, Paige served as a replacement, making her a Top 26 finalist.[3]

Top 26 (Hawaii Round)[]

Paige sang "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus. She received enough votes to be deemed "safe" for another week.

Top 20[]

Paige sang "Say Something" by A Great Big World, ft. Christina Aguilera. She did not receive enough votes to make the Top 10, putting her in danger of elimination. She then sang "I Am Here" by P!nk. The judges chose not to save her, thus eliminating her from the competition.

Trivia[]

  • Paige was the endcap of a trio of auditioners who brought the judges snacks of some kind (in her instance, flavored shaved-ice snow cones à la her job back home) along with Carina DeAngelo and Johnny Knox; albeit, Paige's being the only full audition package, with introduction, song, feedback, and verdict.
