Peter Gomez (born December 14, 1998),[1] known professionally as Pjae or PJAE, was a contestant on Season 21 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Pjae auditioned in Las Vegas.[2] He sang "Mirror" by Madison Ryann Ward. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Pjae was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week, choosing to work on his Stage Presence. He was later shown in a duet with Wé Ani called "The Cryptics", singing "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)" by Blu Cantrell. For his final solo performance he sang "I Want You" by Luke James. Afterwards, the judges brought him and Malik Heard at the same time and could not decide their verdicts, and requested a sing-off. They decided to both sing "Everything I Wanted" by Billie Eilish. The judges decided that he did enough to make the Top 26.

Top 26 (Hawaii Round) — Group 1[]

Pjae was mentored by Allen Stone, and sang "Golden" by Jill Scott. He received the lowest number of votes in his group, alongside Elise Kristine and Emma Busse, eliminating him from the competition.
