Naima Adedapo (born October 5th, 1984) was a contestant on Season 10 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Naima auditioned in Milwaukee. She sang "For All We Know" by Donny Hathaway. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Naima was shown in a montage of contestants who survived the first round of Hollywood Week. She was later shown in a group called "Ebony, Ivory and Every" along with Da'Quela Payne, Jacob Lusk and Matthew Nuss singing "Get Ready" by The Temptations. She was placed in Deliberation Room 4, along with Thia Megia, Carson Higgins, Julie Zorrilla, Jovany Barreto, Rachel Zevita and Scotty McCreery. Everyone in her room advanced.
Las Vegas Round[]
In Las Vegas, she sang "The Long and Winding Road" with Haley Reinhart and Jacob Lusk.
Back in Hollywood for her final performance, she sang "Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae. The judges told her she did enough to advance to the Top 24.
Top 24[]
Naima sang "Summertime" by Abbie Mitchell. Although initially eliminated, she was selected to take part in the Wild-Card round by the judges.
Wild-Card[]
Naima sang "For All We Know" by Hal Kemp. The judges selected her to become a Top 13 finalist.
