Candace Mycale "Mickey" Guyton (born June 17th, 1983) was a contestant on Season 7 of American Idol.

Hollywood Round[]
Mycale's stay at Hollywood was not televised much, but she did manage to make the judges' final fifty contestants. However, during the final deliberation, it was revealed that she did not make the Top 24.
After the Show[]
Mycale, as Mickey Guyton, would experience significant career success. She would first break through in 2015 with "Better Than You Left Me" and would become one of the first Black females to be successful in country music. In 2021, she was nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance for her song "Black Like Me", and follow up with three additional nominations in 2022, becoming one of the first Idol alums who did not make the live shows to be nominated for such awards. Additionally, she sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVI.
13 years after her Idol appearance, Mickey returned to the show where she performed "Black Like Me" during the Season 19 Finale with Alyssa Wray.
