Jeremy Michael Sarver (born March 28th, 1981) was a contestant on Season 8 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Michael auditioned in Phoenix. He sang "Thank You" by Boyz II Men. All four judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Michael was shown on the second day of Hollywood Week, in the same group of eight as Jesus Valenzula. He sang "More Than Anyone" by Gavin DeGraw. During the cut that followed immediately afterwards, it was revealed that he did enough to advance. Michael was shown in a group singing "Some Kind of Wonderful" by Soul Brothers Six. During the final part of Hollywood Round, he was shown singing "All or Nothing" by O-Town. Afterwards, it was revealed that he and everyone in his room had advanced, including Ricky Braddy, Alex Wagner-Trugman, Stephen Fowler, Alexis Grace, Kenny Hoffpauer, Jasmine Murray, Nathaniel Marshall, Joanna Pacitti, Arianna Afsar, Casey Carlson and Kai Kalama. The judges were unsure of him, so they asked to have a sing-off between him and Matt Breitzke to determine who would make the Top 36. Afterwards, the judges decided that both of them would advance.

Michael was shown in Group 1. He sang "I Don't Want to Be" by Gavin DeGraw. He received enough votes to become a Top 13 finalist.

Michael sang "You Are Not Alone" by Michael Jackson. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.
Top 11[]
Michael sang "Ain't Goin' Down ('Til the Sun Comes Up)" by Garth Brooks. He was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week.
Top 10[]
Michael sang "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" by The Temptations. He received the lowest number of votes for that week, and the judges chose not to save him, eliminating him from the competition.
