Melinda auditioned in Memphis. He sang "For Once in My Life" by Stevie Wonder. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Melinda was shown in a montage of successful contestants in the first day of the Hollywood Week. Later, she managed to make the judges' final forty and was also told that she did enough to land a spot in the Top 24.
