Matthew Wyatt "Matt" Rogers (born September 16th, 1978) was a contestant on Season 3 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Matthew auditioned in Los Angeles. He sang "Just Once" by James Ingram. Randy and Simon both voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Matthew was shown in the second part of Hollywood Week. He survived the cut that occurred thereafter and was shown in a group with Jesus Roman and George Huff singing "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley. He survived the cut that followed and did enough to land a spot in the Top 32.
Top 32[]
Matthew appeared in Group 2. He sang "What You Won't Do For Love" by Bobby Caldwell. He received enough votes to make the Top 2 for his group.
Top 12[]
Matthew sang "Hard to Handle" by Otis Redding. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 11[]
Matthew sang "Amazed" by Lonestar. He received the lowest number of votes that week, and was eliminated.
