Audition[]
Mary auditioned in Los Angeles. She sang "Love Is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Mary was shown in the same Group of Eight as Haeley Vaughn, singing "Sober" by P!nk. She and Haeley both advanced. She was later in a group called "The Dreamers" along with Alex Lambert, Margo May and Hope Johnson. She advanced along with Alex and Hope. For her final solo performance, she sang "Hot n Cold" by Katy Perry. After that, she was placed in a holding room with Keia Johnson, Lloyd Thomas, Hope Johnson, Christian Spear, Jermaine Purifoy, Charity Vance, Tasha Layton, Bryan Walker and Tisha Holland. It was revealed that everyone in her room was eliminated.
