American Idol Wiki

Marque Syl Lynche, Jr. (January 3, 1981—December 6, 2015)[1] was a contestant in Season 3 of American Idol.

Marque auditioned in New York. He sang "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Marque was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week. Other than that, he was not shown very much, but he did manage to land a spot in the judges' Top 32.

Top 32[]

Marque was shown in Group 1. He sang "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. He did not receive enough votes to make the Top 2 for his group.

Prior to the performances, he was one of four additional contestants who reached consideration, but were called up on stage and told they would not be performing that evening.

Marque was found dead in his apartment by his roommate due to alcoholism on December 6, 2015. [1]
