Marque Syl Lynche, Jr. (January 3, 1981—December 6, 2015)[1] was a contestant in Season 3 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Marque auditioned in New York. He sang "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Marque was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week. Other than that, he was not shown very much, but he did manage to land a spot in the judges' Top 32.
Top 32[]
Marque was shown in Group 1. He sang "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. He did not receive enough votes to make the Top 2 for his group.
Wildcard[]
Prior to the performances, he was one of four additional contestants who reached consideration, but were called up on stage and told they would not be performing that evening.

- He is the older brother of Season 9 fourth place finalist Michael Lynche.
- He was the final televised audition of Season 3.
- Marque was a former member of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club in the early 1990s, in which he was credited under the name Tate Lynche. Among the cast were notable future stars, such as Oscar-nominee/Golden Globe-winner Ryan Gosling; GG-winner/Emmy-nominee Keri Russell; Grammy-winners Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears; and several others.

Marque was found dead in his apartment by his roommate due to alcoholism on December 6, 2015. [1]
