Malik Heard (born October 4, 1996)[1] was a contestant on Season 21 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Malik's audition was not televised.

Hollywood Round[]

Malik was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week choosing to work on his Confidence. He was later shown in the Showstoppers Round, where he sang "Can We Talk" by Tevin Campbell. Afterwards, the judges brought him and Pjae at the same time and could not decide their verdicts, and requested a sing-off. They decided to both sing "Everything I Wanted" by Billie Eilish. The judges decided that he did enough to make the Top 26.

Top 26 (Hawaii Round) — Group 2[]

Malik was mentored by Noah Cyrus, and sang "Ain't it Fun" by Paramore. He received the lowest number of votes for his group, alongside Elijah McCormick and Dawson Wayne, eliminating him from the competition.

Trivia[]

  • Malik appeared on the tenth season of The Voice where on his audition he chose to be on Christina Aguilera's team, but then was saved by Pharrell Williams in The Battles. He was eliminated at The Knockouts.
