Audition[]
Makayla auditioned in Sunriver. She sang "Travelin Soldier" by Dixie Chicks. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Makayla was shown in the second part of Hollywood Week, in a duet with Lauren Spencer-Smith called "Kansada" singing "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele. Both members of the group advanced. For her final solo performance, she sang "Rainbow" by Kacey Musgraves. She moved on to the Hawaii Round.
Hawaii Round[]
She sang "More Hearts Than Mine" by Ingrid Andress. Afterwards, during the Final Judgment, the judges told her that she did not make the Top 20.

Trivia[]
- Makayla has a condition called vasovagal syncope and she was diagnosed with the rare condition in seventh grade. The condition causes her to react to stress differently than most people and it can even cause seizures that are out of her control.
- Makayla was initially going to have her final solo performance earlier in the episode, but due to a seizure triggered by the above condition, she had to receive medical attention and wait until a couple of other contestants performed.
