Lamar Jefferson and Jrmar Jefferson (spelled Jamar on the contestant marquee) were contestants on Season 4 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Lamar and Jamar auditioned in New Orleans. Presumably Simon and Gene and one other judge voted "yes", sending them to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Lamar was shown in a group with Aaron Kelly and Timothy Sauer singing "I Can't Help Myself" by Four Tops. The judges' deliberation for his group in particular raised an argument among Simon and Paula, even to the point of Paula calling the executive producer over. Lamar was eliminated following his group performance along with Aaron.
Jamar was shown in a group with Mario Vazquez and Anwar Robinson singing "I Can't Help Myself" by Four Tops. Each member of his group advanced following their performance. On the final day, Jamar took a risk and sang an original song called "Shake". He did enough to progress, along with Mario Vazquez, Matthew Kester, Carrie Underwood, Constantine Maroulis, Judd Harris, David Brown, Anwar Robinson, Janay Castine and Vonzell Solomon. During the judges' final deliberation, it was revealed that he did not make the Top 24.
After the Show[]
Lamar and Jamar appeared on the fourth season of America's Got Talent as Timez 2. They progressed past the auditions but did not gain a spot in the Top 48.
