Kristy Lee Cook (born January 18, 1984) is an American country singer and television host from Seattle, Washington who finished in seventh place on the seventh season of American Idol. In 2005 Cook released her debut album called Devoted. In June 2008, Cook signed to 19 Recordings and Arista Nashville. She released her post-Idol album, Why Wait, in September 16, 2008. This album has produced her first chart single "15 Minutes of Shame", a Top 30 hit on the Billboard country charts.
Biography[]
Born in Seattle, Washington, Cook is the youngest of three children. She was the first artist signed to Britney Spears's production company and was signed to Arista Nashville but was dropped. She later signed a deal with Ren-Hen Records, which released her first album, Devoted, in 2005.
Cook was living in Selma, Oregon when she tried out for Idol.

Post-Idol[]
Cook was a part of the American Idols Live tour in 2008 and later signed a deal with her old label, Arista Nashville, which released her album, Why Wait, on September 16, 2008. The album produced one hit single, "15 Minutes of Shame", which was a top 30 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. However, she left Arista Nashville in December 2008.
Broken Bow Records[]
A year and a half after leaving Arista Nashville, Cook singed a deal with Broken Bow Records. She released two singles while on that label, "Airbourne Ranger Infantry" in 2012 and "Wherever Love Goes" in 2013. She has since been released by the label.
Hosting[]
Cook, an avid outdoorswoman, began hosting the show Outdoors Best 10 on the Outdoors Channel and even had a reality show called Goin' Country. She is now the host of the Sportsman Channel show, Most Wanted List.
Personal Life[]
Cook and her longtime boyfriend, Lee Orr, welcomed their first child, son Tillman Daniel Orr, on April 15, 2018. The couple became engaged on June 10, 2018 and were married on March 21, 2019.
