Shontai Kinnik Sky Hingleton, known professionally as Kinnik Sky (born May 13th, 1977) was a contestant on Season 5 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Kinnik's audition was originally not televised, but a flashback revealed she auditioned in Greensboro. She sang "Inseparable" by Natalie Cole. Simon and at least one other judge voted "yes," sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Kinnik was shown in a group called "Epiphany" with Tyra Juliette Schwartz, Celeste Scalone and Nicole Turk singing "It's In Her Kiss" by Betty Garrett. Everyone in her group advanced. Afterwards, at the judges' final deliberation, she advanced to the Top 24 instead of Megan Bobo.

Kinnik sang "Get Here" by Brenda Russell. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 20[]
Kinnik sang "Here for the Party" by Gretchen Wilson. She had the third-lowest number of votes, but was declared as "safe".
Top 16[]
Kinnik sang "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. She received the lowest number of votes amongst the girls and was eliminated.
