Kenneth Ray "Kenny" Rogers (August 21, 1938 – March 20, 2020) was an American singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, and entrepreneur. He sold more than 100 million records worldwide, had more than 120 hit singles, and was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

He served as a mentor during the Top 9 week on Season 5 of American Idol.
