Audition
Katie auditioned in Louisville. She sang "Golden Slumbers" by The Beatles. Lionel and Luke voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round
Katie was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week, in the same Group of Ten as Shawn Robinson, Colby Swift and Dalton Elliott. She wasn't shown singing, but Ryan Seacrest mentioned that she advanced. She was later shown in a group called "Diamond Dixies" along with Laci Kaye Booth, Laine Hardy and Colby Swift singing "Grenade" by Bruno Mars. Everyone in her group advanced except for Colby. After her untelevised final solo performance, she was placed in the second deliberation along with Austin Michael Robinson, Ruthie Craft, Gaba, Juan Pablo, and Jackson Gillies. It was revealed that everyone in the room was eliminated.
