Katelyn Epperly (born March 21st, 1990) was a contestant on Season 9 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Katelyn auditioned in Chicago. She sang "Syrup and Honey" by Duffy. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
She was shown in a montage of contestants who survived Group round. She was not shown much after that, but was shown singing "Bubbly" by Colbie Caillat for her final solo performance. At the final deliberation, the judges revealed that she did enough to make the Top 24.
Top 24[]
Katelyn sang "Oh! Darling" by The Beatles. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 20[]
Katelyn sang "The Scientist" by Coldplay. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 16[]
Katelyn sang "I Feel the Earth Move" by Carole King. She, along with Lilly Scott, received the lowest number of votes for that week, eliminating her from the competition.
