Kenyona Grace Trenice Blocker (born August 17, 1998),[1] better known by her pseudonym KBlocks,[2] was a contestant on Season 22 of American Idol.

Audition[]

KBlocks's audition was not televised, but her Idol Arena segment indicated that she auditioned in Tuskegee. She later confirmed on Instagram that she sang "Higher" by Tems, interspliced with an original poem.

Hollywood Round[]

KBlocks was shown at Idol Arena, singing "Valerie" by Mark Ronson & Amy Winehouse. She was subsequently put in the same group as Dawson Slade, Hailey Mia, Scarlett Lee, Will Moseley, Justice Murphy, Mackenzie Sol, Ty'Esha La'Shae, Jordan Anthony, Jennifer Jeffries, Brant McCollough, Micaela McCall, and Triston Harper, where the judges told them they advanced. For her final solo performance, she sang "River" by Bishop Briggs. At the Final Judgment, the judges told her that she did enough to become a Top 24 semifinalist.

Top 24 (Hawaii Round)[]

KBlocks was mentored by Jelly Roll in Group 2. She sang "Harleys in Hawaii" by Katy Perry. She, alongside Elleigh Marie, received the lowest number of votes, thus eliminating her from the competition.[3]
