American Idol Wiki

Justice Murphy was a contestant on Season 22 and Season 23 of American Idol.

Season 22 Audition[]

Justice auditioned in Tuskegee. She sang "Summertime" by Abbie Mitchell/Billie Holiday, from Porgy and Bess. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Season 22 Hollywood Round[]

Justice was shown in a montage at Idol Arena, which also included snippets of Mackenzie Sol, Blake Proehl, and Roman Collins. She sang "I'm Here" by LaChanze/Fantasia Barrino, from The Color Purple. She was subsequently put in the same group as Mackenzie, Ty'Esha La'Shae, Brant McCollough, Hailey Mia, Scarlett Lee, Dawson Slade, KBlocks, Jennifer Jeffries, Will Moseley, Micaela McCall, Jordan Anthony, and Triston Harper, where the judges told them they advanced. Neither her Showstopper performance nor the verdict of her Final Judgment were televised, but she was shown amidst a montage of contestants who did not become a Top 24 semifinalist.

ABC press photos show that Justice was brought to Final Judgment simultaneously with Jayna Elise, who did make the Top 24. However, this was not edited into the episode.[1]

Season 23 Audition[]

Justice's audition was not televised.

Season 23 Hollywood Round[]

Justice's stay in Hollywood wasn't shown much, but after her untelevised Showstoppers performance, she was eliminated in the subsequent cut.
