Joanna Pacitti (born October 6th, 1984) was a contestant on Season 8 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Joanna auditioned in Louisville. She sang "We Belong" by Pat Benatar. Randy, Paula and Simon all voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Joanna was shown in a group with Adam Lambert, Jenn Korbee and Tom Korbee, and during the final part of Hollywood Round, singing "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys and visibly forgetting her lyrics. Despite this, she advanced along with Ricky Braddy, Michael Sarver Alex Wagner-Trugman, Stephen Fowler, Alexis Grace, Jasmine Murray, Nathaniel Marshall, Arianna Afsar, Casey Carlson and Kai Kalama. At the judges' mansion, it was revealed that she did enough to make the Top 36.
However, the following morning after the episode aired, a press release announced that she was disqualified for having personal connections with two executives who work at 19 Entertainment, one of the companies who co-produce American Idol. Felicia Barton served as her replacement.
