Jimmy Smith (born October 22, 1987)[1] was a contestant on Season 12 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Jimmy auditioned in Charlotte. He sang "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts. All four judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Jimmy's time in Hollywood wasn't shown much, but he did manage to make the Top 43 Guys and for his Final Solo performance he sang "Landslide" by Stevie Nicks. It was revealed afterwards that he advanced along with Vincent Powell, Johnny Keyser and Nate Tao. He eventually did enough to make the Top 20 Guys.
Top 40[]
Jimmy was shown in Male Group 1 and sang "Raining on Sunday" by Keith Urban. Afterwards, the judges told him he did not become a semifinalist.
