Jessica's mother submitted a video to Americanidol.com nominating her daughter to audition for American Idol. Randy Jackson surprised Jessica telling her she won the honour of auditioning.
Jessica auditioned in New York. She sang an original song. All four judges felt she was not ready for the competition and voted "no," eliminating her from the competition.
