Jessica Paige Furney was a contestant on Season 8, and Season 9 of American Idol.

Season 8 Audition[edit | edit source]

Jessica auditioned in Kansas City. He sang "Cry Baby" by Janis Joplin. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Season 8 Hollywood Round[edit | edit source]

Although not shown performing, she was shown in a montage of contestants who were eliminated after the first part of Hollywood Week, along with Sharon Wilbur and Patricia Lewis Roman. She was probably eliminated sometime thereafter.

Season 9 Audition[edit | edit source]

Jessica auditioned in Denver. She sang "Footprints in the Sand" by Leona Lewis. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Season 9 Hollywood Round[edit | edit source]

Her stay in Hollywood wasn't shown much, but she was shown in a group with John Park and Haeley Vaughn singing "The Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani, ft. Akon and sang "If It Makes You Happy" by Sheryl Crow for her final solo performance. She was placed in a holding room with Shelby Dressel, Haeley Vaughn, Maddie Penrose, Angela Martin, Didi Benami, Lee DeWyze, Lacey Brown, Aaron Kelly, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz, John Park, J.B. Ahfua and Janell Wheeler. It was revealed that everyone in the room had advanced. At the final deliberation, it was revealed that she did make the top 48 semi finals and finished as runner up
