Jermaine Sellers (born February 9th, 1983) was a contestant on Season 9 of American Idol.

AuditionEdit

Jermaine auditioned in Atlanta. He sang "One of Us" by Joan Osborne. All four judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood RoundEdit

Jermaine was shown in a group called "Phoenix" with Moorea Masa, Ben Honeycutt and Jeff Goldford. Their group continued despite a member of their group withdrawing from the competition. They sang "Carry On, Wayward Son" by Kansas. He and Jeff both advanced. On the final day of Hollywood Week, he sang "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson. After the judges' verdict, he was placed in the same holding room as Casey James, Tim Urban, Tyler Grady, Andrew Garcia, Todrick Hall, Katie Stevens, Siobhan Magnus, Crystal Bowersox, Alex Lambert, Michael Lynche, Thaddeus Johnson, Tori Kelly, Lilly Scott and Jeff Goldford. Everyone in his room advanced. At the final deliberation, it was revealed that he made the Top 24.

Top 24Edit

Jermaine sang "Get Here" by Brenda Russell. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Top 20Edit

Jermaine sang "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye. He along with John Park received the lowest number of votes among the male contestants for that week, eliminating him from the competition.
