Jermaine's audition was not televised, but he was unsuccessful.

Season 9 Audition[]

Jermaine auditioned in Orlando. He sang "Smile" by Nat King Cole. All four judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

He was later shown in a group called "Middle C" with Janell Wheeler and Casey James singing "Closer" by Ne-Yo. Each member of his group advanced. On the final day of Hollywood Week, he sang "Brick House" by Commodores. After that, he was placed in a holding room with Keia Johnson, Mary Powers, Lloyd Thomas, Hope Johnson, Christian Spear, Charity Vance, Tasha Layton, Bryan Walker and Tisha Holland. It was revealed that everyone in his room was eliminated.
