Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon (born October 9, 1992) was a contestant on Season 17 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Jeremiah auditioned in New York. He sang an original song called "Almost Heaven". All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Jeremiah was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week, in the same Group of Ten as Jade Flores and Myra Tran. He sang "Beautiful" by Carole King. He advanced and for his final solo performance, he sang "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack. He was placed in the first deliberation room, along with Uché, Johanna Jones, Laci Kaye Booth, Alejandro Aranda, Nick Townsend, Laine Hardy, Walker Burroughs, Margie Mays, Shayy, Drake McCain, Ryan Hammond, Kai the Singer, Evelyn Cormier and Madison Vandenburg. It was revealed that everyone in the room advanced.
Hawaii Round[]
Jeremiah sang "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac. Afterwards, the judges told him he did enough to become a semifinalist.
Top 20[]
Jeremiah sang "Make You Feel My Love" by Bob Dylan and "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper in a duet with Cynthia Erivo. Afterwards, the judges told him he did enough to become a Top 14 finalist.
Top 14[]
Jeremiah sang "We All Fall in Love Sometimes" by Elton John during the Live Show and a reprise of his original song "Almost Heaven". He was placed in the Top 7 in voting for that week, making him a Top 10 finalist.
Top 10[]
Jeremiah sang "Candle on the Water" by Helen Reddy from Pete's Dragon. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.
Top 8[]
Jeremiah sang "Who Wants to Live Forever" by Queen and "A Million Dreams" from The Greatest Showman in a duet with Madison Vandenburg. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.
Top 6[]
Jeremiah sang "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" by Joan Baez and "Somewhere" by Barbra Streisand. He was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week, and the judges chose not to save him, eliminating him from the competition.
