Jennifer Jeffries (born January 24, 2006)[1] was a contestant on Season 22 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Jennifer auditioned in Tuskegee. She sang an original song called "Change My Ways". Luke Bryan stated that Jennifer's unique tone and song reminded him of "an indie film soundtrack". All three judges voted "yes", sending her through to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Jennifer was shown at Idol Arena, singing another original song called "You Were a Child". She was subsequently placed in the same group as Micaela McCall, Jordan Anthony, Hailey Mia, Brant McCollough, Scarlett Lee, KBlocks, Mackenzie Sol, Justice Murphy, Will Moseley, Triston Harper, Ty'Esha La'Shae, and Dawson Slade, where the judges told them they advanced. For her Showstopper performance, she sang "Northern Attitude" by Noah Kahan. At the Final Judgment, the judges told her that she did enough to become a Top 24 semifinalist.

Top 24 (Hawaii Round)[]

Jennifer was mentored by Jelly Roll in Group 2. She sang "Bruises" by Lewis Capaldi. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.

Top 20[]

Jennifer sang "Grave Digger" by Matt Maeson. She did not receive enough votes to place amongst the Top 10 contestants, putting her in the Danger Zone. She then sang "All I Want" by Kodaline. The judges chose not to save her, thus eliminating her from the competition.

  • Similar to Quintavious, Jennifer chose to sing the alternate song she had planned to sing for Top 24 as her Top 20 performance (in her instance, as her wildcard choice).
