Jennifer "Jenn" Blosil (born March 7, 1992)[1][2] was a contestant on Season 15 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Jenn auditioned in Philadelphia. She sang "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.[3]

Hollywood Round[]

Jenn was shown during the first part of Hollywood Week (in the same Lines of Ten as Olivia Rox and Thomas Stringfellow), singing "Brother" by NEEDTOBREATHE ft. Gavin DeGraw.[4] She advanced, and was next seen in a group called 'Milk and Cookies' with Sara Sturm, Bri Ray, and Lynnzee Fraye,[5] singing "Drag Me Down" by One Direction. All four members advanced to the next round.[6] For Jenn's third round solo performance, she sang "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper.[7] Afterwards, she was subsequently placed into a room, where everyone within made it through to the Showcase Round. For her final solo performance, Jenn sang "The Hanging Tree" by James Newton Howard feat. Jennifer Lawrence (from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I).[8] At the Final Judgment, the judges told her that she did enough to become a Top 24 semifinalist.

Top 24[]

Jenn performed during the Group 2 semifinals. She sang "Sorry" by Justin Bieber for her solo performance. For her Idol alumni duet, she and Season 4 finalist Constantine Maroulis sang the jazz standard, "My Funny Valentine", which he did on Top 9 night in his season. The judges then selected Jenn as one of the seven contestants to advance to the next round.[9]

Top 14[]

The judges chose four contestants (La'Porsha Renae, Dalton Rapattoni, Olivia Rox, and Trent Harmon) to receive Fast-Passes.[10] This enabled them the ability to skip performing and advance directly into the Top 10 as finalists.[10] The remaining ten contestants competed for America's Wild-Card votes to secure one of the six remaining slots.[10]

Jenn sang a reprise of "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper.[11] She did not earn enough votes to advance, and thus was eliminated from the competition—along with Thomas Stringfellow, Jeneve Rose Mitchell, and Manny Torres.[12]
