Jena Irene Asciutto (born July 13, 1996) was a contestant on Season 13 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Jena auditioned in Detroit. She sang "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Jena was shown in the same Group of Ten as Malaya Watson and Savion Wright. She sang "Video Games" by Lana Del Rey. She advanced and was shown in a group called "Clarity" with Munfarid Zaidi, Allie Odom and Sikenya Thompson singing "Too Close" by Alex Clare. Everyone in her group except Allie moved on. For her final solo performance, she sang an original song called "Unbreakable Me". At the Final Judgment, the judges told her she did enough to become a Top 30 finalist.

Top 30[]

Jena was chosen by the judges to participate in Rush Week. She sang "Paint it Black" by The Rolling Stones. She did not receive enough votes to place among the five women with the highest votes, however she was selected by the judges to sing again as a Wild-Card.

Wild-Card[]

Jena sang an original song called "Unbreakable Me". Afterwards, she was selected by the judges to become a Top 13 finalist.

Top 13[]

Jena sang "The Scientist" by Coldplay. She received enough votes to be "safe" for another week.

Top 12[]

Jena sang "Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall. It was revealed that she was in the "bottom 3", but she was safe for another week.

Top 11[]

Jena sang "Decode" by Paramore. She received enough votes to be "safe" for another week.
