Jennifer Ashley "Jen" Hirsh, later known mononymously as Monogem (born June 25th, 1986) was a contestant on Season 9 and Season 11 of American Idol.

Season 9 Audition[]

Jennifer auditioned in Boston. She sang a jazz version of "Ding-Dong! The Witch is Dead" from The Wizard of Oz. She was shown in a montage of successful contestants.

Season 9 Hollywood Round[]

Her time in Hollywood wasn't shown much, but it is assumed that she was eliminated at some point whilst there.

Season 11 Audition[]

Jen's audition was not televised, but a flashback revealed she auditioned in Galveston. She sang "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" by The Miracles. It's unknown how the judges voted, but at least two of them voted "yes," sending her to the next round.

Season 11 Hollywood Round[]

Jen was shown in the first part of Hollywood Round, in the same Group of Ten as Lauren Gray. He sang "Up To The Mountain" by Patty Griffin. She advanced and was later shown in a group called "Groove Sauce" along with Nick Boddington, Aaron Marcellus, Reed Grimm and Creighton Fraker singing "Hold On, I'm Comin'" by Sam & Dave. Everyone in her group advanced. For her final solo performance, Jen sang "Georgia on My Mind" by Ray Charles. Afterwards, she was placed in the first deliberation room along with Creighton Fraker, Erika Van Pelt, Hallie Day, Adam Brock, Joshua Ledet, David Leathers, Jr., Johnny Keyser, Colton Dixon, Jermaine Jones, Elise Testone and Lauren Gray, where it was revealed that everyone in the room had advanced.

Las Vegas Round[]

Jen was shown in a group called "Lady and the Spectacles" with Creighton Fraker, Nick Boddington and Aaron Marcellus singing "Sealed with a Kiss" by The Four Voices. Everyone in the group except Nick advanced.

For her final solo performance, she sang "Baby I Love You" by Aretha Franklin. At the Final Judgment, the judges told her she did enough to advance to the Top 24.

Top 25[]

Jen sang "One and Only" by Adele. Although she was initially eliminated, she was selected by the judges to compete as a possible Wild-Card.

Wild-Card[]

Jen sang "Oh! Darling" by The Beatles. The judges did not select her to become a finalist, eliminating her from the competition.
