Jason Bradley DeFord, known professionally as Jelly Roll (born December 4th, 1984- ) is an American singer, rapper and songwriter, most well-known for his songs "Need a Favor", "Son of a Sinner" and "Save Me", the latter of which's duet version with Lainey Wilson earned him a Grammy Award nomination as well as another nomination for Best New Artist.
Jelly Roll served as a mentor and guest judge for the semifinals for Season 22 and serve as a season-long mentor for Season 23 of American Idol [1].
