Janay's audition was not televised.

Hollywood Round[edit | edit source]

Janay was shown in the first part of Hollywood Round. Afterwards, the judges told her she did well enough to advance. In the second round, she was shown in a group with Natalie Weiss and Gina McFadden singing "Please Mr. Postman" by The Marvelettes. She managed to progress following her group performance along with Gina. On the final part of Hollywood Week, she was shown advancing in a room with Jamar Jefferson, Mario Vazquez, Matthew Kester, Carrie Underwood, Constantine Maroulis, Judd Harris, David Brown, Anwar Robinson and Vonzell Solomon. During the judges' final deliberation, it was revealed that she made the Top 24.

Janay sang "I Wanna Love Forever" by Jessica Simpson. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.

Top 20[edit | edit source]

Janay sang "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)" by Blu Cantrell. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.

Top 16[edit | edit source]

Janay sang "Dreaming of You" by Selena. She was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week, eliminating her from the competition.
