Jamie Paul "J.P." Koehler was a contestant on Season 4 of American Idol.

Audition[edit | edit source]

Jamie auditioned in San Francisco. He sang "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" by Tony Bennett. Randy, Paula and Brandy all voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[edit | edit source]

Jamie was shown in a group with Kurtis Parks and John Zisa singing "Jump Shout Boogie" by Barry Manilow. Despite forgetting their lyrics, each member of his group advanced. He managed to survive to the final forty-four. During the judges' final deliberation, it was revealed that he did not make the Top 24.
