Eric Marlon Bishop, known professionally as Jamie Foxx (born December 13th, 1967- ) is an American actor, singer, songwriter, record producer and comedian. As well as being a Grammy-winning musician with four albums which charted in the Top 10 of Billboard 200, he won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray.
Foxx served as a mentor for the Top 5 Week of the Season 8 of American Idol and Top 4 Week of Season 9 of American Idol.
