Jacob Moran (born November 20, 1993)[1][2] was a contestant on Season 17 of American Idol.

Season 17 Audition[]

Jacob auditioned in Louisville. He sang "Into You" by Ariana Grande. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Season 17 Hollywood Round[]

Jacob's stay in Hollywood wasn't shown much, but he presumably was eliminated at some point whilst there.

Season 20 Audition[]

Jacob auditioned in Los Angeles. He sang "Rise" by Katy Perry. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Season 20 Hollywood Round[]

Jacob was shown in the "Pop" category of the Genre Challenge, in a group with Danielle Clavell, Douglas Mills Jr. and Nicolina. For his final solo performance, he sang "Is That Alright" by Lady Gaga. Afterwards, the judges told him that he did enough to make the Top 24.

Top 24[]

Jacob appeared in Group 1 and sang "In My Blood" by Shawn Mendes. He received enough votes to advance.

Top 20[]

Jacob sang "Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing" by Stevie Wonder. He did not receive enough votes to place in the Top 10, putting him in danger of elimination. He then sang "Rise" by Katy Perry. The judges did not select him to become a finalist, eliminating him from the competition.
