American Idol Wiki

Josue 'Josh' Davila (born January 1, 1985),[1] known on the show as JDA, was a contestant on Season 12 of American Idol.

Audition[]

JDA's audition was not televised, but a flashback revealed she auditioned in Chicago.

Hollywood Round[]

JDA was shown in a group called "Country Queen" with Trevor Blakney, Lee Pritchard and Joel Wayman singing "More Than Words" by Extreme. She and Joel advanced and after her untelevised final solo performance, she advanced along with Charlie Askew, Nick Boddington, and Mathenee Treco. She eventually did enough to make the Top 20 Guys.

Top 40[]

JDA appeared in Male Group 1 sang "Rumour Has It" by Adele. Afterwards, the judges told her that she did not make the Top 20 semifinalists.

Post-Idol[]

JDA came out as a female transwoman (having previously presented as an androgynous male in drag and/or possibly non-binary),[2] and now releasing music under the stage name, Jaidah Xhristina.[3]
