J.B. Ahfua was a contestant on Season 8 and Season 9 of American Idol.

Season 8 Audition[edit | edit source]

J.B. auditioned in Phoenix. He sang "Flying Without Wings" by Ruben Studdard. All four judges voted "yes", eliminating him from the competition.

Season 8 Hollywood Round[edit | edit source]

J.B. was showcased in the second part of Hollywood Round singing in an unknown group. He was probably eliminated sometime thereafter.

Season 9 Audition[edit | edit source]

J.B.'s audition was not televised.

Season 9 Hollywood Round[edit | edit source]

J.B. was shown in a group called "Three Men and a Baby" along with Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens singing "No One" by Alicia Keys. Every member of his group advanced. After his final solo performance, she was placed in a holding room with Shelby Dressel, Haeley Vaughn, Maddie Penrose, Jessica Furney, Angela Martin, Didi Benami, Lee DeWyze, Lacey Brown, Aaron Kelly, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz, John Park and Janell Wheeler. It was revealed that everyone in the room had advanced. At the judges' final deliberation, they told him he did not advance to the Top 24.
