Haeley Vaughn (born June 5th, 1993) was a contestant on Season 9 of American Idol.

AuditionEdit

Haeley auditioned in Denver. She sang "Last Name" by Carrie Underwood. Randy, Victoria and Simon all voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Hollywood RoundEdit

Haeley was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week, in the same Group of Eight as Mary Powers. She sang "Change" by Taylor Swift. She advanced along with Mary. She was later shown in a group with John Park and Jessica Furney. For her final solo performance, she sang "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. After that, she was placed in a holding room with Shelby Dressel, Maddie Penrose, Jessica Furney, Angela Martin, Didi Benami, Lee DeWyze, Lacey Brown, Aaron Kelly, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz, John Park, J.B. Ahfua and Janell Wheeler. It was revealed that everyone in the room had advanced. At the Final Deliberation, it was revealed that she did enough to become a Top 24 semifinalist.

Top 24Edit

Haeley sang "I Want to Hold Your Hand" by The Beatles. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Top 20Edit

Haeley sang "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus. She along with Michelle Delamor received the lowest number of votes among the female contestants for that week, eliminating her from the competition.
