Franklin Boone was a contestant in Season 18 and Season 19 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Franklin auditioned in Milwaukee. He sang "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Franklin was shown in the second part of Hollywood Week, in a duet called "White Chocolate" with Jordan Moyes singing "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. Afterwards, it was revealed that he advanced. For his final Solo performance, he sang "River" by Leon Bridges. Later, he was placed in the same deliberation room as Jonny West, Arthur Gunn, Sophia Wackerman, Makayla Phillips, Kimmy Gabriela, Francisco Martin, DeWayne Crocker Jr., Cyniah Elise, and Lauren Mascitti, where the judges revealed that everyone had advanced.

Hawaii Round[]

Franklin sang "Daughters" by John Mayer. Afterwards, the judges told him he did enough to become a Top 20 finalist.

This Is Me[]

Top 20[]

Franklin sang "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. He did not receive enough votes to place in the Top 10, and the judges chose not to save him, eliminating him from the competition.

The Comeback[]

Franklin sang "Meant to Live" by Switchfoot. He did not receive enough votes to land a spot in the Top 10.
