Bobby Bones is an American on-air radio personality who was a mentor during Season 16, Season 17, Season 18, and Season 19 of American Idol.

Bones is a radio personality and entertainer, most famous for being the host of a nationally syndicated weekday radio program called The Bobby Bones Show.
Bobby served as a guest mentor for the Top 24 contestants and the Top 3 contestants of Season 16 as well as being the in-house mentor starting with Hollywood Week in Season 17. In the episode "Top 20 duets-Part 2", he substituted as guest-host for Ryan Seacrest.
